These terms apply when you create an error.page account or install the error.page SDK. By doing either you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, if you're acting for a company, that company.
1. The service
error.page monitors errors on websites and applications you control, shows a branded page to your users when something breaks, records how your site is used, and gives you a dashboard, alerts and integrations to act on it. Features vary by plan, as shown on the Plans page and in the billing documentation, which form part of these terms.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in credentials private. You're responsible for everything done under your account and for the members you invite.
- You must be able to form a binding contract, and if you're using the service for a business you confirm you're authorised to agree for it.
- One person may hold one free account. Automated or bulk sign-ups are not allowed.
3. Acceptable use
Only install the SDK on sites and apps you own or are authorised to monitor. Don't use the service to send unsolicited email, to collect data you have no right to collect, to monitor people covertly, or to break the law. Don't probe, overload or interfere with the service, reverse-engineer it, or resell it without an agreement. We may suspend accounts that breach this section, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
4. Your data and your users' data
You own the data you and your sites send us. You grant us the licence needed to store, process and display it to provide the service. For data about your users we act as your processor under the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms; you're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for telling your users. We keep data for the retention period of your plan and delete it afterwards.
5. Plans, payment and changes
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before you subscribe; taxes may be added where required.
- Usage allowances (errors per billing period, projects, attachment sizes) are enforced by the service. At an allowance we stop accepting the relevant data rather than charging you more; we warn you first.
- You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We don't refund partial periods except where the law requires.
- If a payment fails we'll tell you and keep your plan while the card is retried. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan.
- Complimentary access (a promotion or a grant) ends on the stated date; we'll warn you beforehand.
- We may change prices or plans with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next billing period.
6. Availability and support
We aim for the service levels described in the Service Level Agreement. Service credits, where offered, are the only remedy for missed uptime. We may suspend the service for maintenance; we'll announce planned windows in the dashboard.
7. Intellectual property
The service, the SDK and our documentation are ours or our licensors'. You may use the SDK on your sites as part of the service. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is. Monitoring is best-effort: browsers, networks and ad blockers can prevent reports from reaching us, and we don't guarantee every error will be captured. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from your profile; this deletes your projects and their data. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (data, liability, governing law) do.
10. General
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the plan descriptions are the whole agreement. If a part is unenforceable the rest stands. We may update these terms; for material changes we'll email you before they take effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
